The Gift Cards are available from the Information Kiosks, which are located on the Upper Level near Woolworths and on the Lower Level near Totalsports.

In terms of the new FICA legislation, Sandton City now requires that shoppers produce their identity documents when purchasing a gift card. Please ensure you have the original document with you.

The information kiosk officer will simply scan your ID document/driver's license using an A5 scanner situated inside the kiosk.

GIFT CARD NOTICE:
 
Please note that the Sandton City gift card is intended for use within Sandton City Shopping Centre. Should you choose to use your gift card outside of Sandton City, you may incur a fee as 1 March 2011. However, you'll be able to shop up a storm with the Sandton City Gift Cards as they are redeemable at:

• Over 400 retail stores in Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square (excluding banks)
• Over 1 000 stores countrywide at all Liberty Property managed shopping centres (including Eastgate, Greenacres, Liberty Promenade and Midlands Mall

•  The Sandton Sun Hotel – this includes all amenities in the hotel (all restaurants, bars and the Spa).

Forms of payment:

• Electronic Transfer

      Electronic fund transfers and direct deposits must reflect in the Sandton City gift   card bank account before any gift cards may be issued, therefore should you bank with any bank other than Standard Bank, the payment will take 2 to 3 working days to reflect in the bank account. If you bank with Standard Bank it can take up to 24hrs for the money to reflect in the bank account.

• Debit/Credit Card

Cash

An information sheet will need to be completed for all cash purchases or cash deposits to the value of R10 000 or more. For company purchases the company name, physical and postal address and the company VAT registration number will need to be provided

Sandton City Gifts Cards can be purchased for any amount between R50 to R3 500 and are valid for 3 years from the purchase date. Should you wish to purchase cards of a larger value, more than one gift card will be issued.

• Cheque Deposit


Please note that we do not accept cheque payments or cheque deposits but if a cheque is deposited into our bank account the minimum waiting period is 10 working days before any gift cards may be issued

Please note:

• Positive identification is required for FICA purposes as stipulated by banks
• Remember to sign on the signature panel upon receipt of your Gift Card
• The Gift Card can be spent in stages at various stores, but remember to check your balance
• The Gift Card cannot be replenished. Once all funds have been used, please destroy the card
• The Gift Card is accepted by all Sandton City Shopping Centre stores as a ‘credit card’, with preloaded credit.

• Visit the Sandton City Information Kiosk or Call 083 918 7700
• SMS your Gift Card number to 34543
• Retrieve your gift card balance on any of the touch screens situated throughout Sandton City. Simply push the gift card icon at the bottom of the store directory, enter your gift card number and your available balance will appear on the screen

Corporate Gift Card purchases:

Sandton City Gift Cards are excellent employee incentives and can be used as alternatives to end of year bonuses. Should you wish to purchase Sandton City Gift Cards for your organisation:

     The email request must contain the following:

• • The company name
  • The company’s physical address
  • The company’s VAT number
  • The denominations and quantity of cards required
  • The details of the person who will be collecting the vouchers including their full name, contact number and ID number
• An invoice will then be issued to the company
• Payment may be made by EFT or credit card (so long as the card holder is present)
• Once payment has been made the gift cards may be collected
