Dear South Africa,

Since 27 March 2020, you have embodied the very essence of who we are as a nation: resilient, united, courageous, proud, determined and compassionate.

While you have demonstrated absolute dedication to uniting for the health, safety and well-being of our nation by remaining at home, essential workers, real-life heroes and heroines, have been on the frontline keeping us safe. To them we say thank you. To you, we say thank you.

As we ease back into our new normal, which by every account looks different to what we remember it to be, we remain resolute and focused on creating a new tomorrow together, so that every single person in our collective community – near and far – knows that it’s ours to create, build, share and celebrate.
While the challenges will be varied and at times difficult to comprehend, our shared goal of a stronger tomorrow for all is within reach.

What tomorrow will look like is up to each and every one of us, and when united, it promises to be anything we want it to be.
