Covid-19 Update

In support of our government’s efforts against the spread of COVID-19, and most importantly for the health and safety of you, our tenants and employees, much of Sandton City will be temporarily closed for the national shutdown, starting March 26 at midnight until 16 April at midnight.

Stores will resume trade from 09h00 on 17 April. However, all shops in Sandton City offering essential needs such as our supermarkets, pharmacies and other essential items will remain open.

Parking info

Sandton City parking will be free with immediate effect until further notice, upon arrival the boom will automatically open and no ticket will be dispensed. When exiting the centre, proceed straight to the booms.

Please use Entrance on 5th Street, Alice Lane and Sandton Drive to access the essential stores. To access the Butcher Shop and Grill Butchery please use Deodar Road Entrance.

Precautionary Measures

At Sandton City, your well-being remains our top priority. During these extraordinary times, as we unite in the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19), these are the precautionary measure we have implemented to ensure the overall safety of customers, tenants and staff:

  • Close and transparent communication with all tenants and staff.
  • Increased cleaning protocol, with additional focus on handrails, lift buttons, parking machines, and all other commonly used equipment.
  • Ongoing deep-cleaning of the mall, known as fogging, to ensure all common areas are thoroughly sanitised.
  • Increased refilling of soap dispensers in all bathroom facilities.
  • Provided on-site staff with hand sanitisers.
  • We assure our valued customers, tenants and staff that we are committed to their wellbeing and are monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak very carefully. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
